Dr. Emory Barnes is a podiatric physician and surgeon with a clinical focus that spans from common conditions like bunions to more complex foot and ankle issues, including sports medicine injuries. She takes a collaborative, evidence-based approach to treatment—working closely with each patient to develop personalized plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term function.
Dr. Barnes completed her residency training at Legacy Health/Kaiser Permanente, a Level 1 trauma center in Portland, Oregon. During her time there, she more than doubled the national surgical case minimums, gaining advanced experience in trauma, reconstructive, and elective foot and ankle surgery. In addition to her clinical training, she has presented research and lectures at medical conferences in both Oregon and Seattle.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Dr. Barnes earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas before earning her medical degree at Des Moines University.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Barnes is an avid weightlifter, hiker, and snowboarder. She’s also a self-proclaimed foodie who loves exploring new restaurants and wineries.
